Re: Why did Ilana go to the cabin?

When Ilana says "he isn't here - hasn't been for a long time. Someone else has been using the cabin." What she's really saying is that the MIB isn't there, hasn't been in a long time and that someone else (meaning the different apparitions - like Christian - that MIB has taken the form of) has been using the cabin. Notice how they all take out there guns and are on alert when they arrive - then Bram says to Ilana "look at the ash!" meaning, "he might be loose now" - and so Ilana points her gun as she carefully approaches the cabin and goes inside. They are going to the cabin to confront/kill the MIB. That is who they are expecting to find.

Great stuff!

After I watched "The Incident" me and my friends discussed the revelation of Jacob, MiB and that Jacob nest in the statue. But the thing was that we already knew where he lived, in his cabin, how does this add up? Then we took MiB in the equation and the fact that he posed as Locke. What if Jacob never lived in that cabin and the entity Ben and Locke meet in season three was in fact MiB beginning his long con to get Lockes body, the loophole. It all makes sense! That ash around the cabin was probably a way to keep MiB in place, like his prison, and he probably ended up there for breaking one of "the rules" in his mission to kill Jacob.

So far this theory is accepted among fans but there is thing that doesn't add up.
    - if it was MiB we saw in the cabin in season three, why did Darlton say that the eye belong to Jacob (I don't think that the eye belong to another entity then the man in the chair)? Did they changed their minds since then? They take good pride in that they got an end date to the series so they could move on with the story in the end of season three. Would be awesome if since then they story have been planed out and moved towards a specific end.

    - if we go along with the idea that Darlton goofed about the eye, how and when did MiB escape his imprisonment? We assume that because of the fact that MiB can take the form of Locke now, he probably was in the form of Christian all those times we've seen him on the Island. But we did see Christian in the beginning of season one long before the events of "The Man Behind the Curtain". So if that really were MiB, then why did he need help from Locke in the first place?

If it was MiB posing as Christian then what's up with that mobisode "So it Begins" were he tells Vincent to wake Jack up because he has work to do? Why would he help Jack?
